News of the air-crash was received weeks ago...

Composed this after trying to empathize with the feelings of loved ones of the IAF personnel who were in the ill fated AN- 32 aircraft:

"News of the air-crash was received weeks ago,
My loved one was piloting it.

It was as if I was hit by a bolt from the sky,
There was no way of avoiding it.

My loved one was a highly skilled pilot of the IAF,
How he could he not avoid it?

I hoped against hope for his well being,
Prayers to the Almighty were the only way of ensuring it.

But the Almighty had already made His decision,
And my loved one with his 12 colleagues could not make it.

I am still awaiting to receive his coffin,
This too is becoming a test of nerves as I see it.

Attempts are on by the IAF to recover his remains,
Drap it in our Tricolour and send it to us with full honours,
I know but when can I get it?

My loved one has gone far in his eternal flight,
Heavens or beyond, as I get it.

He was determined to be an air warrior,
And he made it.

But has left me in and others broken and in life long sorrow,
And nothing in this world can now get me out of it."😪😪
