Chill is in the air

Composed the following yesterday:

"Chill is in the air,
Winters are at their peak.

But a festive occasion has lulled the chill,
Warmth of greetings and merry making flowing across are also at their peak.

It's nothing to do with a particular religion or faith,
Unifying each fun loving person.

Wines, cakes, turkey, bacon, preparations are galore,
Feast lovers appetites are at their peak.

Religious divides have withered away,
Who cares for his or her religious identity today?

It's an occasion for rejoicing and feasting,

Joys today are at their peak."

Kahin dooor se' kuch sureele' awaazein aa rahi hain,
Koi masti ke' alam mein gaane' ga raha hai.

Shayad jaam ne' bhi apna kamaal kar dikhaya hai,
Ussko ab poore' masti ke' mahaul mein dooba diya hai.

Kya pata ussko bhi hum jaise' kaiyon ki tarah naa jaane' kitne' fikar honge'?
Magar iss waqt usko apne' tamam fikaron ki kahan fikar hai?

Jeene' ka yahi toh ek raaz hai,
Kabhi jaam ke' sahare' toh kabhi gaano ke sahare',
Har kisi ko khud ko khudi se' hi chupana hi padta hai.
